ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION and STUDIO:

Bungalook Studio is at the heart of East Gippsland, just outside the seaside town of Lakes Entrance.  The studio is a straw bale building, designed for private practice and for community gatherings.  It’s the centre of the world for the forever resident artist,

Josephine Jakobi.

Her friendship with Glenys Mann, has blossomed into a very good idea: to offer a Glenys Mann Master Class at Bungalook,

with accommodation under canvas for the participants.

Cotton canvas tents, real beds, everything chosen to fit an aesthetic that sits comfortably with the landscape,

in sympathy with the Earth.

There are four single tents for those who like to be alone.

Two twin share tents for those who like to share with a friend.

One double tent for real togetherness.

There is a bathroom with a hot shower at its centre. It is a unique experience.....

All food is provided.  Good food......  real food.

If the weather allows, there is a communal fire pit to sit around in the evenings.

Long evenings, with food and wine and conversation under the stars.

There is forest nearby.  Bungalook adjoins the Colquhoun State Forest, and the property itself has bushland that is protected by a conservation covenant.

There are chooks and horses and a very nice dog named Sally.  And guinea pigs......

ABOUT THE TUTOR

 GLENYS MANN

Glenys Mann finds herself getting even more radical with her work -

pushing both personal and technical boundaries - allowing time to respond ‘to’ the medium,

rather than force it to fit to some preconceived plan -

She has been mentoring artists for more than 25 years, teaching Masterclasses throughout Australia and Internationally.

Her art is owned by Galleries, Museums and private collections worldwide.

Glenys is limited only by the rate at which she travels toward new horizons.
