Collagraphy with PVC

In this workshop you will be exploring the technique of collagraphy which is under the umbrella of printmaking. We will combine techniques such as etching, lino carving, collage and incorporating added materials onto a PVC plate, which is unique and versatile printing surface. Participants will make a plate and print in an intaglio process which involves rubbing ink into the plate and polishing it back then printing onto paper using an etching press.

This is an experimental workshop with the focus being on using found materials and also incorporating plastic plates, tapes and other materials to create a range of visual, textural and design effects.
